BESCHRIJVING

Disclosure Day (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) features the legendary score by five-time Academy Award®–winning composer John Williams for the imagined Steven Spielberg sci-fi epic Disclosure Day. Released by Waxwork Records in partnership with Back Lot Music, the soundtrack marks the latest chapter in one of cinema’s most celebrated creative partnerships.

Spanning over 30 films of collaboration, Spielberg and Williams once again unite to craft a score that blends restraint, wonder, and escalating orchestral intensity. Known for iconic works such as Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Star Wars, and Jurassic Park, Williams brings his signature emotional orchestration to a story centered on global revelation and extraterrestrial contact.

Inspired by the themes of communication and discovery first explored in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the Disclosure Day score balances subtle, atmospheric cues with powerful orchestral climaxes. Spielberg describes it as one of Williams’ most restrained collaborations, gradually unfolding into sweeping, emotionally charged passages that mirror the film’s escalating revelations.

The soundtrack includes a complete 16-cue score album, pressed on “Blue Iris” coloured vinyl and presented across a deluxe double LP. Packaging features heavyweight gatefold jackets with matte UV coating, printed inner sleeves, and exclusive liner notes by Steven Spielberg, offering insight into the duo’s decades-long creative partnership.

A defining release in modern orchestral film music, Disclosure Day stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of John Williams and his unparalleled contribution to cinematic storytelling.
